Concerned the Amount of Debt on Credit Cards

                According to USA Today survey by Barbara Pearson, the less concerned about the amount of debt they have on credit cards. For those under thirty they are fifty five percent concerned about their amount of debt on their credit cards. People over 30 are less responsive as they only concern below 50%. The percentage of those who concern and not in the age between 30 to 45 are the same, they are on 43%. Only 51% of people paying the debt every month. A group of people from 46-60 are less concerned paying their debts, it was 62% of them say no. They either do not pay attention  to let their debts paid. The highest percentage of people who are not concerned was a group of people over 60, it reaches 81% no. They  give the least attention on paying the debts on time.

                      A  graph about people who responsible in paying the credit card bills shows older people do it much rather than the younger, USA Today reported.  The graph says that people over their sixties have a big percentage in paying the bills, it has the highest number, 87%. It seems like the more you are older the more you have to pay off yours or your family credit card bills. We can see it from the graph that shows adults in the age of forty six until sixty have a chance to settle it too, with the percentage 68%. This condition is very contrast compared to people in the age of under thirty, most of them said no, therefore the percentage is 59% and also for a group in the age of thirty until forty five, they show 49% for saying no to pay off the credit card bills.

                According to statistics published by the U.S. Department of Energy, the world’s consumption of primary energy continued to increase in 1994 in quadrillion Btu’s. The three top consumers include the United States, China, and Russia.However, the largest consumer was United States. It used 85.64 quadrillion Btu.Japan consumed 20.7 quadrillion Btu, whereas Germany consumed 13.87 quadrillion Btu. The countries that consumed less than 10 quadrillion Btu included India, United Kingdom, France, and Italy.

PRACTICE 3: Writing a Paraphrase (page: 91-92)

Artificial Language

                Around the end of the nineteenth century, Dr. Zamenhof from Poland found Esperanto which is an artificial language that successfully by people for international use. Esperanto is easy to learn and to speak and it was influenced by English, German, the Romance languages, Latin, and Greek. Interlingua found after the following artificial language built by Latin, the Romance language, and English. However, Esperanto was more popular than Interlingua (Pei 175-176).

                  Even though artificial language like Esperanto and Interlingua are lack in some ways. The structure of language are much influenced by Western culture like European and American so it’s very hard for Asian, African and Slavic to understand it. (Pei 176)

PRACTICE 2: Changing Direct Quotations to Indirect Quotations (page:88)

1. Television channel KSA General Manager Jim Burns said that not everyone can attend college in the traditional way; therefore, taking courses via television will offer many more students the chance to earn a college degree.

2. Pre-med student Alma Rodriguez said that he miss being on campus, but he has to work and take care of his family.

3. Other students said that last year, they spent several hours a day commuting to and from school. Now they don’t have to do that.

4. Computer engineering student Amir Mehdizadeh stated that he can choose when to study and how to study without pressure.  He also said that he will take two more telecourses in the fall.

    Higher educations are more likely studying in your school, but with further education. There are no teachers but lecturers will give you guidance for the subject and you will widen your knowledge through reading. Everyone around the world deserved to get a higher education for their successfully in their life. With having a higher education we can get many advantageous for our future. With having a higher education we can gain a lot of knowledge more than people who didn’t take any higher education, also we can be more critical in thinking. With higher education we can reach our dreams. Studying when you are in school is very useful but with getting more education on college could be very beneficial to reach your dreams. On your higher education you can focusing on what subject you are interest, such as if you have a dream to be the creator of games computer you can take computer engineering. In work world, a higher education can make you get a higher position in your company. With higher position you can make a higher salary. A higher education is very important for everybody around the world for their living. Even though to get a higher education need a lot of money and it’s not easy to get the bachelor’s degree, and you might find new ways of learning not like on your high school.
